We are looking for a Shipping Specialist with customs expertise for our Supply and Distribution Center in Lindås.

Responsibilities

We offer you an exciting opportunity to develop in your career as a Shipping Specialist.

As a Shipping Specialist, you will work in a team with 13 colleagues and report to the department manager, with the position based at our Distribution Center in Emmaboda. Annually, approximately 58,000 shipments are delivered from us to around 130 different countries worldwide.

Your main tasks will include planning, booking, and delivering transport for outgoing goods. You will be assigned a specific area of responsibility corresponding to a number of countries and manage deliveries using all modes of transport, i.e., express, air, truck, and sea.

Additionally, your responsibilities will include issuing export declarations, load planning, invoicing delivered goods, freight costs and services, invoice control against carriers, issuing transport and export documents, and, if applicable, certificates, obtaining freight quotes, and managing warranty cases with carriers and insurance companies.

The role has many daily contact points with colleagues, carriers, and other individuals inside and outside the company. You must thrive in a challenging work environment with many tasks and a fast pace. You need to be attentive to customer requests and have the ability to deliver quick service. Your daily tasks will largely consist of customer service, and you will have a significant email flow that you are expected to respond to. Our customers are located worldwide, which means that the majority of communication occurs in English and via email due to different time zones.

Background

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education or a university degree in logistics. Experience in the transport industry, logistics, or similar work experience is required, as well as knowledge and experience in export management/customs.

You also need to be a good communicator who understands the importance of collaboration and how to drive development together with and through others.

To succeed in this role, you must have good computer skills and be proficient in both English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
