Bus Driver with Operational and Employee Responsibility

Do you want to combine operational responsibility with driving? Västanhede Charter is now looking for a dedicated bus driver with operational and employee responsibility for our operations in Virserum/Småland. This is a full-time combined position for those who want to ensure that our traffic runs smoothly, both by driving and by leading daily operations.

About the Role

In this role, you will combine work as a bus driver with responsibility for daily operations. You will ensure that the business operates efficiently and professionally, from planning and scheduling to driving in traffic yourself.

The traffic includes demand-responsive transport.

As a driver, you are a reliable representative for us and are responsible for ensuring that passengers have a safe and positive experience. As an operations manager, you are the one who holds the local operations together, planning, following up, and solving challenges that arise in daily work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive demand-responsive transport
• Ensure safe and professional driving
• Provide good service to our passengers
• Maintain vehicles inside and out at the depot
• Traffic planning and scheduling
• Staff planning and some employee responsibility
• Responsibility for daily operational management
• Handling deviations and urgent operational issues
• Contact with traffic authorities/clients
• Follow-up on operations and ensure quality

You will be an important part of the operations organization and actively work to create good relationships with colleagues, partners, and clients.

To succeed in this role, you are communicative, methodical, and calm even when the pace is high. You have an eye for detail and understand the importance of both traffic and staff working well together.

Requirements

• Bus driving license (D)
• Valid YKB
• Good IT skills

Meritorious

• Experience in traffic management, scheduling, or operational management
• Experience in personnel management
