Area Manager at Stenvalls Trä
Do you like the idea of a job where forest, people, and business go hand in hand? We are now looking for an area manager who wants to lead a team, build relationships, and contribute to shaping the future of forestry business – with both heart and business insight.
About the Role
This is a role for you who have several years of experience in timber purchasing and who want to combine continued operational responsibility with leading and developing others. You are confident in business, in relationships with landowners, and in your role as a leader.
As an area manager, you will be part of the management team for the Forestry Department and help shape the direction forward for both the business and the team.
In this role, you will:
- Lead, coach, and develop 3–4 timber buyers within your district
- Have personnel and result responsibility for the district
- Continue to work operationally with timber purchasing
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with landowners
- Follow up on volumes, margins, and business goals
- Plan harvesting and transportation together with a tight and engaged team
- Be a natural link between strategy, business, and the everyday forestry
You will receive a well-thought-out introduction and a gradual handover of the area to create the best possible conditions for a safe start in the role.
About You
We believe that you thrive in the forest, in meetings with people, and in a role where business and leadership go hand in hand. You are confident in your professional skills and want to take overall responsibility for both results and people.
You are:
- Business-driven and confident in negotiations
- Result-oriented and used to working towards clear goals
- Relationship-building, clear, and engaging as a leader
- Analytical, structured, and proactive
- Responsible, stable, and down-to-earth
We see that you have:
- Several years of experience in timber purchasing
- Experience in leading or coaching others
- Forestry education or equivalent experience
- Good administrative skills
- Driver's license (B)
- Swedish language skills in speech and writing
