We are looking for a technical sales representative for Tappex in the Western Sweden/South district – a free and responsible role for you who want to drive the entire sales process - from the first customer contact to established, long-term customer relationships. The role combines technology and consulting with commercial responsibility, and you have the mandate to independently develop your district with a focus on profitability and sustainable growth.
About the position

As a technical sales representative, you are responsible for sales and budget within your district, focusing on developing both existing and new customer relationships.

The role involves a combination of proactive new customer outreach and further development of existing customers, with the ambition of being the customer's advisory partner in fastening solutions.

You drive your business from needs analysis and quotation to closure and follow-up, responsible for ensuring the right price, the right solution, and long-term profitability for your customers.

The position offers great freedom under responsibility, allowing you to plan your workweek independently. The role includes approximately 1–3 travel days and an estimated 1–2 overnight stays per week. You will work from a home office within the district and report to your nearest manager located at Tappex's office in Örebro.



Examples of tasks
  • Be responsible for sales, budget, and results for the Western Sweden district

  • Conduct customer visits, identify needs, and propose suitable technical solutions

  • Prepare and follow up on quotations and drive business to closure

  • Work with project sales towards construction, purchasing, and production

  • Develop new customers through prospecting and cold calling

  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal organization on technical and customer-specific solutions

  • Monitor the market, competitors, and new projects

Qualifications
  • Documented experience in technical B2B sales as a traveling salesperson or in a similar customer-facing role

  • Experience negotiating and driving business to closure

  • Good technical understanding and ability to communicate technical products and solutions

  • Good data and system proficiency

  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

  • Driver's license B
     
  • Residence within the district, for example, Malmö, Helsingborg, or Gothenburg

Post-secondary education in sales, production technology, or industrial economics, as well as practical experience from industry or workshops, is considered meritorious.
