We are looking for a Rock Construction Manager for the West Link project, Haga, sub-project Otterhällan for the Swedish Transport Administration.

This is a consulting assignment. The stationing location is Gothenburg.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role of the Rock Construction Manager involves acting as the client's representative during the production phase of the Otterhällan sub-project. The assignment includes close, solution-focused collaboration with contractors, specialists, designers, and other parties to create favorable conditions for effective implementation. The Construction Manager is present in production, works for a safe and secure working environment, and ensures that the right function, quality, time, and cost are achieved in accordance with the project's requirements and decisions. The role also involves reporting to the production manager and transferring knowledge to employees within the organization.

Responsibilities

Follow up on the daily work in the project with a focus on quality, time, and cost.

Ensure that technical solutions and constructability meet the established requirements and that the project achieves the right TKI (time, cost, content).

Perform continuous inspections on-site to ensure that production follows construction documents, technical specifications, and agreements.

Follow and contribute to keeping the control plan updated.

Document inspections via Field Maps and ensure that identified remarks are addressed and closed.

Conduct construction inspections and document these.

Carry out spot checks of the contractor's self-inspections during production.

Maintain a construction diary and follow up on the contractor's production diary.

Cost-consciously control production.

Review invoice documentation as the first step before monthly regulation.

Keep the production manager continuously informed about the progress of production.

Assist the production manager and project manager with documentation for notifications and cost assessments.

Perform other tasks as agreed with the production manager.

Participate in the review of control plans, work preparations, and ETSs.

Participate in deviation and risk management work.

Attend construction, technical, and planning meetings.

Participate in contract inspections and review inspection documentation.

Requirements (Mandatory)

Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

At least 10 years of experience as a construction manager or other supervisory position in underground facilities in hard rock.

At least five (5) years of experience as a construction manager or other supervisory position in hard rock work. The experience should not be older than 10 years.

Education from a university, college, or vocational school (e.g., geological engineer/rock engineering) or another combination of post-secondary education and experience deemed equivalent by the client.

Desirable

You have participated as a construction manager or other supervisory position in at least one large complex project with high collaboration between parties and have demonstrably contributed to good collaboration in this.

You have high competence in solving production problems in complex construction projects.
