About the assignment

We are now looking for experienced construction managers in earthworks and foundation work for assignments with the Swedish Transport Administration in the large infrastructure project Gerstaberg, which is part of the Ostlänken program. The project is located just south of Södertälje and serves as the Ostlänken's connection point to the Western Main Line. Here, a grade-separated connection in the form of a flyover bridge is being built, which is part of the project's largest contract with a contract value of approximately 1.8 billion SEK.

About the role

As a construction manager, you will be responsible for supporting the client in the execution of earthworks and foundation work during production. You will monitor the contractor's deliveries regarding time, cost, quality, and safety, and ensure that the work is carried out according to applicable requirements, documents, and regulations. The role involves close collaboration with project management and other technical functions, where you contribute technical support and decision-making basis in production-related issues.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• Monitoring the contractor's execution regarding time, cost, quality, environment, work environment, and safety
• Reviewing and providing feedback on drawings and technical documents and ensuring that work is performed according to the contract
• Participating in construction, technical, and economic meetings and reporting status and forecasts
• Managing deviations, changes, and quantity adjustments according to applicable procedures
• Coordinating with other technical branches, adjacent contracts, and external parties
• Participating in inspections, site visits, and compiling final documentation
• Ensuring that the contractor's self-checks are carried out as planned and that necessary permits are in place
• Providing technical advice and acting as support to the client during the production phase

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

1. Have a university degree in road and civil engineering, or other education and experience that the Swedish Transport Administration deems equivalent.
2. At least 7 years of experience in assignments as a construction manager/site manager/production manager/project manager in the production phase.
3. Experience of at least 7 years in a leading role in the technical areas of earthworks and foundation work as well as structures.
4. Experience working with large, complex civil engineering contracts where the value per reference assignment must be at least 350 million SEK in today's monetary value.
5. Documented knowledge of AMA Construction, MER Construction, and contract law AB04 and ABT06.
6. Valid driving license B.
7. Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
8. Have completed, no later than 6 months after the start of the assignment, training to be able to act as the Client's construction work environment representative.
