The medical clinic in Ljungby has a medical reception with clinical physiology, bone density measurement (for the entire Kronoberg County), and a dialysis department. The inpatient care consists of a department divided into two sides, one focused on stroke/neurology and internal medicine, while the other is focused on cardiology and internal medicine. In 2026, we are also in the startup phase of an emergency care department with integrated IMA. The emergency department is open around the clock. Ljungby has a catchment area of about 52,000 inhabitants. Here, qualified emergency medical care is provided at all hours of the day.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a ST physician in internal medicine with us, you will have a developing job with good opportunities for follow-up of your patients. You will work in the medical clinic's inpatient departments, emergency department, specialist clinics, and have the opportunity to work under supervision in the dialysis department, day care, and clinical physiology – including electrical conversions, exercise tests, and echocardiograms. We have a close collaboration with other clinics. You will carry out most of your specialist training in internal medicine in Ljungby but will also have a smaller part at Växjö Hospital.

The training takes place within the framework of the ST program with individual supervision and the formulation of a personalized ST contract. You will have access to a generous education fund that enables further education and participation in congresses. In addition, Region Kronoberg has its own R&D center with several researchers.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician and have completed your AT or BT service. As a person, you have good communication skills and are responsible, structured, and attentive. You find it easy to collaborate with all professions and see the importance of close and good cooperation. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, at least equivalent to C1 level. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
