About the workplace – this is us!
In Sweden, a transition towards Close Care is underway.
Close Care is a health and medical care model with primary care as the base where the region and municipalities interact and clearly focus on the individual's needs. This means that care and support within Fagersta Municipality is now developing its mission within the health and medical care group. The municipality's rehab team works in various areas such as special housing, short-term units, safe homecoming, home healthcare, LSS, psychiatry, and home visits in ordinary housing.
Your mission
Do you want to be part of Fagersta Municipality's journey towards Close Care?
The work involves creating a meaningful everyday life for our residents based on individual needs by working preventively and long-term. The mission means that you work in teams with different professional groups and in close collaboration with healthcare staff and colleagues in the health and medical care group.
You will closely collaborate with your colleagues in the rehab team, which consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and rehab assistants. The work also requires flexibility and collaboration with colleagues in the workgroup, covering for each other when needed.
The mission also involves being part of the planning for safe homecoming, collaborating with the municipality's coordinator, the region's care coordinators, and discharge coordinators.
The work as a physiotherapist within the municipality is varied, challenging, and very free as you allocate work based on the needs that arise. Tasks included in the mission are among others:
- Assessing needs and determining appropriate treatments/compensatory measures based on a function-preserving approach.
- Testing, prescribing, and following up on assistive devices.
- Training healthcare staff in transfer knowledge and other profession-specific areas.
You will continuously guide, educate, and delegate tasks to rehab representatives and healthcare staff to provide good care to our residents. The work is scheduled during daytime. Upon starting your employment, we have developed an introduction program that you will be part of.
Your qualifications and merits
For the position, you must be a licensed physiotherapist and hold a B driver's license.
We are looking for the following personal qualities in you: self-driven, relationship-building, service-oriented, clear, determined, structured, and quality-conscious.
Recruitment is ongoing, and the position may therefore be filled before the application period ends.
For employment, a police record extract must be presented.
We strive for a good age distribution and welcome applicants of all ages. We also aim to be a workplace that reflects the diversity of society.
Fagersta Municipality is part of a Finnish administrative area, and we welcome applicants with knowledge of Finnish in speech and writing.
