Training Positions for Specialization in Orthodontics
Are you interested in orthodontics and want to take the next step in your career? Then you might be the one we are looking for. We are now offering two training positions for specialization in orthodontics. At the Specialist Dental Care Clinic in Västerås, all specialties of dentistry are available, and we also have an annex clinic for orthodontics in Köping.
We warmly welcome your application!
Job Responsibilities
The training includes at least three years of specialization in Västerås and is conducted in accordance with the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations (HSLF-FS 2017:77). The training consists of 10-20% theoretical instruction in the form of courses and seminars held in collaboration with Region Örebro. All ST dentists have and follow an individual training plan.
The remaining time consists of clinical work in orthodontics, where patients with treatment needs across the entire orthodontic spectrum are treated under the supervision of orthodontic specialists. The training is goal-oriented, and assessments of knowledge and clinical maturity are made continuously during the training period and concluded with an examination.
Structure of the Training Positions:
One position refers to a commissioned training that includes at least three years of full-time specialization and then at least three years of work as an orthodontic specialist after passing the specialist exam.
One position refers to a national placement that includes a time-limited full-time specialization for at least three years. The position is financed by the regions in collaboration, where merits are assessed according to the NSATS merit evaluation system: Merit Evaluation of Dentists (https://sttandlakare.se/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Meritvardering-av-tandlakare-vid-Tillsattning-av-Nationella-ST-revidering-2023.pdf).
