We are now looking for someone who wants to help develop student health in Arboga as a school nurse. The school nurse's mission includes following students' development towards knowledge goals, working health-promoting, preventive, conducting vaccination programs, organizing school doctor appointments, following the basic program, and performing simpler healthcare interventions.

Within the Department of Children and Education in Arboga municipality, we offer residents high-quality preschool, primary school, and high school. As an employee in the organization, you will have the opportunity to work and develop in a stimulating environment with lifelong learning as a goal.

Main Responsibilities

The fundamental task of the medical services in student health is health-promoting and preventive work according to the basic program, the Education Act, and the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines for medical services in student health. The medical services work at the organizational, group, and individual levels. The medical services are part of the student health team. With an uncompromising focus on children and students, the work involves developing and adapting learning environments to promote health, learning, and safety. The focus of the work should be on students who need support and help. The work should be based on science and proven experience. Through health visits/health information, increase students' knowledge and awareness of risk and health factors and how they affect health.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse with further education in either Open Health and Medical Care or Health Care for Children and Youth or a college-specific education to become a school nurse. You should have good collaboration skills and a desire to develop in your professional role. As a person, you are attentive to the needs of the organization. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude towards collaboration, is responsible, and has a solution-focused approach. Experience in pediatric medicine and medical services in student health is an advantage, as is experience with electronic health records.

Permanent position, part-time 75%.
