The vehicle workshop at Kommunteknik is now looking for a new employee with an interest and knowledge in mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. You will be part of a team of seven mechanics and work with heavy vehicles.

The tasks are varied, and you will have customer contacts with both internal and external customers. As a mechanic with us, you will independently perform repairs, maintenance, and service of heavy vehicles (trucks, street sweepers), winter equipment, tractors, large ride-on mowers, and other machines in our fleet.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a vehicle engineering education or a completed high school education supplemented with broad experience deemed equivalent by the employer.

To be considered for the position, you must have at least a couple of years of work experience in the workshop industry working with heavy vehicles/construction machinery. You also have experience reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting with diagnostic equipment and multimeters. In addition, we expect you to have good knowledge of vehicle electronics and troubleshooting, as well as general computer skills. You should also be able to assimilate technical information in workshop programs. Experience working with BOSCH TRUCKS or at a brand workshop in recent years is considered an advantage.

A driving license for a manual transmission vehicle is a requirement for the position. It is advantageous if you have a C, CE driving license and a forklift license.

To succeed in this role, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Knowledge of English is also an advantage.

As a person, you have the ability to work independently while enjoying working closely with others. For this position, it is important that you have good technical knowledge and the interest and ability to seek information and develop within the profession. You also like to share your knowledge with others in the workplace. Meeting deadlines and following safety regulations is a given for you. It is also important for you to achieve good quality in your work and ensure customer satisfaction.
