Industrial Electrician Wanted at VA SYD
Are you an industrial electrician with experience in electrical installation and preventive maintenance? Then you are the one we are looking for! We offer a varied job as an electrician where you will have a lot of responsibility and at the same time contribute to the operational reliability of our facilities.
This is what the job is about
Your tasks as an electrician include:
- responsibility for operation, supervision, maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintenance work on VA SYD's process and electrical facilities
- responsibility for planning, execution, and commissioning according to VA SYD's working methods and standards
- responsibility as Electrical Safety Leader according to VA SYD's electrical delegation structure, and if necessary, replace the Electrical Operations Leader in their absence
- contributing as a requirement setter and receiver in projects
- on-call work approximately every 4 weeks (response time of max 60 min) is included in the position in the long term
You will be part of the Electrical and Instrumentation group within the Production Department. We currently have 15 people, and together we have a broad knowledge base in electrical installation, instrumentation, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance. You will work closely with colleagues at the Sjölunda wastewater treatment plant and at our pumping stations in Malmö, Svedala, and Burlöv. You may also work at our other facilities as needed, as the group's area of responsibility extends across all VA SYD member municipalities.

Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has the ability to work both independently and in a team. In this role, you need to be a good problem solver and enjoy taking responsibility for actions and execution, as well as collaborating with colleagues since you will work closely with our operations organization on a daily basis. To succeed in this position, you should work in a systematic, methodical, and safe manner.
Your experiences
We are looking for someone who has:
- Electrical engineering education at the high school level, or equivalent, with a focus on electrical power
- Practical work experience, preferably from the process industry
- Experience working according to electrical standard SS-EN 50110-1
- Driver's license B
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Practical knowledge of reading schematics, troubleshooting, assembly/installation, as well as experience with conventional and electronic motor drives such as frequency converters/soft starters with commissioning and parameterization
- It is an advantage if you have electrical authorization (at least AL) and/or knowledge in automation, control and regulation technology, troubleshooting in an environment with PLC.
