Assistant Nurse for the Surgical Operations in Skellefteå

The Center for Surgical Operations provides emergency and planned surgical care, anesthesia, postoperative care, intensive care for children and adults, as well as sterilization services, and we collaborate closely with other clinics within the region. The surgical operations work in a team-oriented manner in the areas of general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, ear-nose-throat surgery, and pediatric surgery.

We are now looking for an assistant nurse for the surgical operations in Skellefteå.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an assistant nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel safe.
In the operating room, as an assistant nurse, you have a key role during surgeries. The work involves close collaboration with the anesthetist nurse, surgical nurse, and surgeon in the operating room. The assistant nurse prepares the room before surgery and plays an important role during the surgery. After the surgery, the assistant nurse prepares the room together with the other members of the surgical team. The role also includes mentoring students as Skellefteå Hospital is a teaching hospital. The work as an assistant nurse is varied and educational, where the pace can shift from calm to more acute situations.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with an approved assistant nurse education. Since assistant nurse is a protected title, you need to present a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a service certificate that allows you to use the title until June 30, 2033.
You should be a trained assistant nurse with grades in emergency care. Experience in surgical work or other emergency care is advantageous, as well as specialist training in surgery, anesthesia, and intensive care.
As a person, we see that you have good collaboration skills, are flexible in thought and action, and have the ability to make quick decisions. You have the drive to contribute to the development of the operations. We also see that you actively contribute to a good work environment and promote safety, learning, respect, and a professional approach.
Before employment, we will request a criminal record extract that is no older than one year.
