Do you want to work with international studies and make a real difference?

In this role, you will help Scandinavian students take the step out into the world. You will guide, inspire, and match prospective students with programs at universities, colleges, and language schools that STUDIN represents.

You will be there from the first curious question until the student is settled at their school – with admission completed and all practical details sorted.

This is a role where counseling, sales, and administration are equally crucial parts for success.

About the role

As an Account Manager – Student Advisor, you will be responsible for your own student portfolio and manage your cases independently throughout the entire process.

You will have daily contact with young people and young adults – and in some cases their parents – via phone, digital meetings, email, and in-person meetings.

This is not routine work with ready-made templates to rely on. Every student is unique. You need to quickly familiarize yourself with new educational programs, destinations, and regulations, seek information when needed, and make well-informed decisions in dialogue with the student.

Your main responsibilities

• Guide and match students with the right education and destination
• Actively sell alternatives and help the student make decisions
• Read, screen, and understand the student’s motivations, conditions, and goals
• Continuously manage and follow up on your student portfolio
• Ensure that applications, documents, and deadlines are handled correctly
• Work systematically with follow-up and conversion
• Collaborate with our partner schools around the world

You need to enjoy having many parallel processes running simultaneously – and be able to maintain calm and structure even when the student is stressed about important decisions. Your confidence and reassuring manner are crucial.

You will also

• Give presentations at high schools and colleges across Sweden
• Plan, execute, and participate in fairs, events, and workshops
• Represent STUDIN in meetings with partners
• Visit our universities and language schools abroad

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is well-educated, well-traveled, and genuinely interested in the world. You easily absorb new information and enjoy seeking knowledge when needed.

Background

• Academic degree (at least a Bachelor’s)
• Have studied abroad for at least one semester
• Several years of experience in sales, customer service, education, communication, tourism, or similar

Personal qualities

• Relationship-building, personal, and confident
• Structured and self-driven
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing many cases simultaneously
• Resilient and stable in the face of others' uncertainty
• Results-driven and accustomed to working with follow-up
• Excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish and English
• Comfortable speaking in front of larger groups

International experience – studies, work, internships, language courses, or longer stays abroad – is highly meritorious.

Location: central Gothenburg

Possibility for remote work from the Stockholm area after the introductory period in Gothenburg
