About the position
The task of the guardian is to supervise the assignments of guardians, curators, and legal representatives. This supervision protects individuals who cannot take care of their rights or manage their finances and who, for that reason, have a legal representative or curator appointed for them.
With us, you will have a job of great significance and become an important part of the strategic work as the Guardianship Office develops. From July 1, the Guardian will become a judicial authority, which means that tasks previously handled by the district court will be transferred to us. In connection with the changes the organization is facing, the unit will also grow from 18 to 23 employees.
The position of unit manager at the Guardianship Office is new, and you will have personnel responsibility, financial responsibility, and operational responsibility, with the main focus on daily operations. In this role, you will report to and work closely with the operations manager, who will have overall responsibility for strategic issues and the main collaboration with the Guardianship Committee.
As a unit manager at the Guardianship Office, you will encounter a responsible and varied job. On behalf of the Guardianship Committee, the unit's responsibility is to create security based on the needs of the principal and the legislation that regulates this through open and close dialogue and lawful and secure authority exercise.
Examples of tasks:
- personnel responsibility, financial responsibility, and operational responsibility with a focus on daily operations
- contribute to the whole and drive, develop, and follow up the operations towards set goals
- create a good work environment and contribute to being an attractive workplace
- be responsible for prioritization, resource allocation, and implementation capacity
- be familiar with and follow applicable laws, policies, and procedures for the operations
- work in personnel and financial systems
- hold development conversations, staff meetings, unit meetings, and other relevant meetings
About the workplace
At the Guardianship Office, you will encounter a responsible and varied job. On behalf of and in close collaboration with the Guardianship Committee, the unit's responsibility is to create security based on the needs of the principal and the legislation that regulates this through open and close dialogue and lawful and secure authority exercise. You will be part of a team of 18 employees.
The work is located at Ribbingsgatan 11, Örebro.

Qualifications
As a person, you are proactive, drive your work forward in a transparent, structured, and organized manner. You have a holistic view and understand your role in the whole. You are clear and have an easy time communicating both verbally and in writing. Your ability to collaborate is very good, and you care about developing your operations and staff.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- university degree of at least 180 credits
- documented managerial experience with personnel, financial, and operational responsibility
Meritorious:
- previous experience in investigating and deciding within the authority area
- experience working in a municipal authority
- completed leadership training
