About the job

We are looking for an LSS case officer for our Authority Unit for Children and Youth as one of our two case officers is set to retire soon.

The LSS case officers handle cases according to LSS for children and youth. They also process applications for personal assistance for both children and adults. Collaboration is an important part of the work both internally and externally.

The LSS case officers are part of the Authority Unit for Children and Youth, which consists of social workers who handle child welfare cases and two SIP coordinators. The LSS case officers work closely with the LSS case officers in the adult area. We document in Lifecare.

If you are employed with us, we offer guidance in the form of legal supervision. We also plan a longer introduction to the work by shadowing LSS case officers before it is time for the handover of cases.

Who are you?

We look forward to a new colleague who enjoys working with children and their families. Someone who likes to develop in their work and collaborate with everyone around a child.

You should be accustomed to expressing yourself in speech and writing, able to document and handle cases according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines. You should, of course, have a good attitude, both towards colleagues and the families we meet in our work. We place great importance on personal suitability.

We are looking for a person with a degree in social work or equivalent education, preferably with experience in LSS case handling. Upon employment, the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations (HSLF-FS 2017:19) regarding eligibility for work within social services for children and youth will be followed.

A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position.

Before employment, a valid extract from the police criminal record must be presented.
