Maria Nova Adult Resource, located in central Mariestad, is a collaborative meeting place where the labor market unit, LSS, social services, and the Vara Folk High School branch work side by side. As summer approaches, we are now looking for a social worker for financial support who wants to be a part of our important work and contribute to creating positive changes – both in the short and long term.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Investigating individuals' resources and barriers to self-sufficiency
• Processing and documenting applications for financial assistance
• Making decisions according to SoL based on the current delegation order
• Working in a coaching and supportive manner with individuals where the goal is self-sufficiency through work, studies, or other compensation.
• Focusing on supporting individuals in change processes through motivational work
• Collaborating internally and externally

As we are a small municipality with short paths to and between our partners, we have room for flexible solutions. Support in the work is available from colleagues and management on site.

Your workplace is based in central Mariestad, and working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00. The summer job runs from week 26 to 33, and we would like you to start working hours already in the spring to ensure a smooth entry into the tasks. If there is a need for hourly employment in the organization even after summer, it may be possible to continue your journey with us!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone with a degree in social work or who is currently studying social work and wants to learn the job and grow with us. Alternatively, you have other education that the employer deems relevant. Previous experience in social services is an advantage.

Your role involves close collaboration with other actors both internally and externally, so it is required that you are a positive person with good collaboration skills, service-oriented, and value-driven.

For the position in financial support, you should demonstrate a professional approach by being supportive towards our clients while also being clear and informative.
