About the Workplace

The City of Helsingborg as an employer has approximately 10,000 employees and 470 managers. The City Management Administration is one of nine administrations and is led by our Deputy City Director. To carry out our mission, we are organized into seven different departments. Our administration has an important and exciting mission where we exist to support others - for colleagues, other administrations, the citizens of Helsingborg, and businesses, to name a few. The City Management Administration will - lead, develop, and coordinate the municipality's activities in overarching and common areas, - offer services and products requested by the municipal council, administrations, and companies, including common functions aimed directly at the citizens of Helsingborg, - in collaboration with external parties create conditions for a positive development of Helsingborg.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues within the City Management Administration as well as in collaboration with the city's administrations, companies, and external actors. The assignment involves a wide scope, many points of contact, and the opportunity to influence the city's development through strategic and operational projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and follow up on projects within the business and marketing area
  • Project manage, coordinate, and collaborate on assignments and projects within the department and together with the city's administrations, companies, and external actors
  • Be a cohesive link between internal operations and external actors such as businesses, organizations, and partners
  • Be responsible for project goals, timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Ensure clear communication, documentation, and follow-up in projects
  • Prepare decision-making materials, status reports, and presentations for steering groups and management
  • Contribute to the development of common working methods and processes for collaboration and project implementation
  • Follow up on results and effects of projects and assignments

Qualifications

  • Academic education in project management, economics, social sciences, communication, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of documented experience in leading projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong ability to plan, structure, and drive work from start to finish
  • At least 5 years of experience working in or in collaboration with the public sector
  • Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish, as well as good knowledge of English
  • Familiarity and knowledge of Helsingborg's local business community is an advantage

As a person, you are collaborative and attentive, and you easily build good relationships with those around you. You have a strong analytical ability and can translate holistic perspectives and strategic needs into clear project setups and well-thought-out concepts. At the same time, you work in a structured and goal-oriented manner.
