Psychologist Wanted at Child and Adolescent Healthcare in Gävleborg

The Child and Adolescent Healthcare in Gävleborg (BUS) is part of Region Gävleborg's specialized healthcare. We provide outpatient care in Hudiksvall, Bollnäs, and Gävle, as well as inpatient care in Hudiksvall and Gävle, focusing on general pediatrics and neonatal care.

At the children's clinic in Gävle, we welcome children and youth from 0 to 17 years for specialized care. We have a broad and high level of competence with several professions represented: pediatric nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, dietitian, psychologist, doctors, medical secretaries, and play therapists. Together, we are about 40 employees who work every day to create better health and conditions for more children and young people in Gävleborg. We are now looking for you who want to become our third psychologist in our psychology team!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a psychologist, you will be part of the multidisciplinary work within specialized pediatric healthcare. This is an opportunity for you to work closely with several different professions across various pediatric medical diagnoses. As a psychologist with us, you will work alongside a group of psychologists and with several cross-professional teams. You will be involved in various development projects and contribute your knowledge through training and supervision within the unit. Our mission is county-wide with placement in Gävle, and some consultations also take place in Bollnäs. There is some possibility for remote work in agreement with the manager.

As a psychologist, you will work with:

• development assessments of children who were born prematurely
• conducting screenings and assessments of mental well-being and functional levels
• providing psychological treatment.

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, who is attentive and confident in meeting children, adolescents, and families. You take responsibility for your work, drive processes forward, and see opportunities in changes. In the role of psychologist, you should be:

• a licensed psychologist with the authority to work in Swedish healthcare.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with children, adolescents, and families, psychological testing competence, and CBT training.

If certain testing and treatment competencies are lacking, there are opportunities for supplementary training.
