As an Embedded Developer, you will be part of the development of WISE – our demand-driven indoor climate system. You will work closely with the hardware and be in the most technically central part of our architecture. The role involves broad responsibility for firmware development where quality, robustness, and performance are crucial. You will be involved throughout the entire chain – from technical choices and implementation to testing and improvement.

You will work in a team where technical decisions are made close to development, and where your expertise has a direct impact on the product's performance, stability, and future architecture.

In your role, you will:

• Develop and further develop firmware in C for our wireless sensors and controllers

• Ensure high performance through optimization of memory, energy consumption, and CPU utilization

• Work closely with hardware on troubleshooting, verification, and improvement of production tests

• Contribute to technical choices and the development of next-generation embedded platforms

The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues in hardware, system architecture, and connected services. We are modernizing and further developing our platforms, giving you good opportunities to influence both technology, structure, and working methods. At the same time, we are already driving initiatives related to AI and data analysis, and we would therefore like you to have an interest in how artificial intelligence can be used – both in our products and in the development process.

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in embedded development and is comfortable with C programming, preferably in Linux-based embedded environments. You have a good understanding of how software interacts with hardware and enjoy working at a low level in the system.

If you also have experience working close to CPU or microcontroller architecture – for example, ARM Cortex-based systems – as well as knowledge in processor optimization, interrupt handling, or memory optimization, we consider that an advantage. Experience with C++, Python, Yocto, MQTT, Zephyr, or wireless communication is also a plus.
