ABOUT THE POSITION

The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, IVA, is an independent arena for influencing societal development in areas such as education, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability, energy, integration, and young people's interest in technology. IVA is a cross-border meeting place for decision-makers and experts from academia, business, and politics.

We are now looking for a Client Relationship Manager for IVA's program Tekniksprånget. Tekniksprånget is an internship program where the business sector, public sector, and government collaborate to strengthen Sweden's competitiveness. Through four months of paid internship, young people across the country get the chance to experience the engineering profession in practice. The aim is to inspire a higher technical education by providing a clearer picture of what awaits after studies. 200 employers participate and offer internships in 100 locations across Sweden. Since its launch in 2012, 8000 have interned through Tekniksprånget, half of whom are young women. After completing the internship, 8 out of 10 say they want to become engineers.

As a Client Relationship Manager, you will focus on promoting Tekniksprånget to more employers and enabling more internships for young people who want to try out the engineering profession. You will also be responsible for a number of already participating employers, where you will plan together with them for the next internship period. You will have an active role throughout the internship process, from advertising to recruitment and follow-up.

You will be part of a team of 13 people consisting of several Client Relationship Managers, two communicators, a project coordinator, and a business manager. The team is characterized by an open culture where everyone is attentive and supportive of each other.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

Your role includes responsibility for a range of different tasks, such as:

  • Proactive sales work to attract more employers to Tekniksprånget.
  • Developing relationships and increasing engagement with already participating employers.
  • Supporting employers throughout the internship process, from internship setup, advertising, recruitment, mentorship, and follow-up.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Have experience in sales/customer relations/service.
  • Have post-secondary education in a relevant field such as technology/economics/political science/similar.
  • Can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and English, and have strong communication skills.

Meritorious:

  • Experience working in sales support systems.
  • Engineering education/knowledge of higher technical education/engineering profession.
  • Experience in international environments.
  • Experience in recruitment and employer branding.

You are motivated by measurable goals and have the ability to independently plan and structure your work. You are an outgoing team player who gains energy from meeting other people. Naturally, you share our commitment to strengthening Sweden's competitiveness by inspiring more young people to pursue engineering careers and creating conditions for sustainable skills supply of engineers in the Swedish labor market. To succeed in the role, you should also be unpretentious, attentive, and have a good ability to collaborate operationally with colleagues.

OTHER

  • Start: March/April - December 31 with a chance for extension.
  • Scope: Full-time.
  • Setup: Consulting assignment with employment at Academic Work.
  • Location: Central Stockholm. Possibility for remote work a couple of days a week.
