Värnamo municipality is part of the National Agency for Education's targeted efforts for newly arrived and other multilingual children and students' learning since August 2023.

A broad initiative is being made around language and knowledge-developing methods where all teachers in the municipality will strengthen their knowledge and how it contributes to all students' language development.

Bors School is a pleasant 7-9 school with about 200 students, just outside Värnamo. The school's interior and exterior underwent extensive renovation in 2019 and now offers bright, flexible, and inviting teaching spaces and workrooms. The school works, among other things, with set goals regarding learning environments, attendance, and study peace.

Responsibilities

• In the role of lead teacher, you will work to develop teaching for increased goal fulfillment. In addition, as a lead teacher, you will drive development issues and have a key role in leading collegial learning. This means anchoring research and proven experience in teaching.
• The role includes being a role model for colleagues and actively contributing to making teaching visible and working in accordance with the municipality's development work.
• The principal plans together with the lead teacher the conditions and possibly overarching development work in the annual assignment dialogue.
• Teaching in mathematics, chemistry, biology, and physics.

Qualifications

You must be able to document at least four years of well-regarded work with teaching within the framework of one or more positions in the school system.

You should have demonstrated a particularly good ability to improve students' academic results and a strong interest in developing teaching. Also, in other respects, be assessed as particularly qualified for teaching and tasks related to teaching by the employer.

You must be a licensed teacher in mathematics, chemistry, biology, and physics and have a drive to develop teaching.

The application must include a personal letter explaining why you are applying for the position.

In your personal letter, describe how you view the role of lead teacher and how you can be a role model for other teachers in the municipality in your professional practice. Provide examples of development projects you have initiated, led, or participated in and how they have impacted students' goal fulfillment.

The position will be filled provided that the necessary decisions are made. Selection and interviews will be conducted continuously.

The Department of Children and Education. Our department is responsible for preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, adult education, and cultural schools in the municipality.
