Welcome to Us

The patrol operations of Jönköping Municipality are divided into four areas and consist of about 90 employees. We operate from central Jönköping with facilities at Kasernen and Gränna elderly care home. The Patrol responds to all security alarms within Jönköping Municipality (approximately 3500) and performs assessed night visits for citizens receiving home care or personal assistance. Although most of our employees work at night, the Patrol also provides day and evening services as needed.

Your New Job

We are now welcoming two care assistants for night work to our team! You will perform care and support work as well as supervision, usually together with a colleague. The tasks vary and include both urgent and planned interventions. You will respond to security alarms, provide home care services, and carry out shorter interventions within personal assistance. The assignment also includes performing delegated health and medical care interventions. Your work is characterized by individualized assistance in all areas required for the citizen to have as rich and normal a life as possible.

You will also be responsible for documentation according to current guidelines and maintain close contact with relatives, colleagues, coordinators, and the unit manager. In this role, you will also collaborate internally with municipal health and medical care and externally with regional health and medical care.

This position is based at Kasernen in the Asecs area of Jönköping. Working hours are primarily at night, but day and evening shifts may occur, both weekdays and weekends.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility and can both independently and collaboratively plan, execute, and drive work forward. You have a high degree of personal maturity and are calm, secure, and stable, qualities that are important for creating safety for the citizen. As a person, you are solution-focused and can easily adapt your approach and demeanor based on the situation and person. Just like us, you see the strength in good collaboration and contribute to a positive work environment through attentiveness and good communication.

We are looking for you who:

• Are a trained care assistant
• Have at least 3-4 years of experience in care and support work
• Have a B driver's license for manual transmission and are comfortable driving in various weather conditions
• Have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as documentation is a significant part of the job
• Have good physical mobility as situations arise that cannot be predicted and must be resolved in a situation-appropriate manner

Good to Know

The recruitment concerns two permanent full-time positions with start dates according to agreement. Before an employment contract is signed, the person offered the position will be called to the Municipal Health Service for a health check. The health check is a requirement for all our night positions.
