We are looking for more assistants to work awake nights with Vilma's team.

Who am I?
My name is Vilma and I am 4 years old. Until I was just over two years old, I was like any healthy child. But then I suffered from a severe brain inflammation that caused me significant brain damage, both physically and mentally.

Today, I need help with everything in my daily life - play, communication, tube feeding, transfers, and other care. I am a happy and curious girl who loves Pettson & Findus, painting, and bathing in our spa, which is also part of my rehabilitation.

I live in a house in Gråbo with my mom, dad, and little brother. On weekdays, I go to preschool, which I really enjoy, and at home, I like to be where things are happening and to be entertained.

I have a medical need that involves epilepsy, medication, tube feeding, training/stretching, use of aids, and constant supervision.

What does a night shift look like?

As a night assistant with me, you will work awake nights as I need constant supervision. The working hours are from 21:00 to 07:00 on weekdays and from 21:00 to 00:80 on weekends but may change.

During the nights, I sleep, but I need supervision all night due to my epilepsy and medical condition. You are responsible for monitoring my breathing and epilepsy signals, administering medication according to routine, turning me if necessary, and ensuring that I am lying comfortably and safely. When everything is calm during the night, you have the opportunity to read a book, magazine, or study quietly, as long as you are close at hand and attentive to my needs.

Who are you?

You are a happy, positive, creative, and caring person who enjoys providing support to someone else. Since I cannot move by myself, you need to be physically fit and comfortable with lifting and transfers (aids are available).

You are observant, secure, responsive, and responsible - especially important at night when you are the one watching over me. Experience in personal assistance, care, or working with children is an advantage, but personal suitability is the most important. Of course, you will receive training and shadowing before you can work independently at night. Training will take place during the day so I can get to know you and you can get to know me in a safe way.

About the position:

• Scope: as agreed
• Working hours: awake nights according to schedule
• Weekend work: usually every other or every third weekend, both Saturday and Sunday
• Start date: immediately

This is a new assistance, which means that together we will build a safe and functioning support around me. There is also some flexibility in the scope depending on your wishes and needs in the team.
