Family-owned Blentagruppen is one of Sweden's largest poultry companies with well-known brands such as Guldfågeln and Ingelsta Kalkon. In the group's facilities in southern Sweden, Swedish frozen, fresh, and processed chicken and turkey products of the highest quality are produced. The group currently employs about 1000 people and has a turnover of approximately 3.0 billion SEK.

We are now looking for summer workers for our slaughter department in Mörbylånga.

Responsibilities

The work involves hanging slaughter chickens, performing after-checks, and other tasks occurring in the department. The position is full-time, with working hours arranged by agreement. Overtime may occur, and we expect you to be available for this.

We want you to be aware that the work is physical, performed while standing, and requires you to be in good physical shape, have good motor skills, and not suffer from motion sickness. Since you will be handling live animals, we also want to make you aware that the work takes place in a fairly dark environment. The work is performed on a production line, so you will need to maintain a high pace throughout the day.

Qualifications

Since we work in groups in the department, it is important that you can cooperate with other people, both women and men, from many different ethnic backgrounds.

For safety, product safety, and quality reasons, it is a requirement that you can understand and make yourself understood in Swedish.

To work with slaughter, you must undergo and pass the Swedish Board of Agriculture's animal welfare training and thus obtain a competence certificate for slaughter and euthanasia of poultry before we can employ you. The training is funded by us.

Personal qualities required are a sense of order, vigilance, responsibility, and good handling skills with animals. To work in our slaughter department, you must not have been convicted of violations of animal welfare laws or have a ban on keeping animals.

Since there are many men working in the department, we welcome female applicants.

Conditions

Summer job.

Our main vacation period is from June to August, but your employment may start earlier than June and end later than August.

We follow the central collective agreement between LI and the Swedish Food Workers' Union regarding poultry.
