Licensed Occupational Therapist to Tierp Municipality
Tierp is a municipality with an organization of the right size for those who want close access to managers, colleagues, politics, and users. Here, there is room for both personal development and collaboration within the organization.
Our municipality offers diverse living environments, coastal nature, history, culture, and good service. Tierp is within commuting distance to Stockholm, Uppsala, and Gävle and also offers the possibility to work partially remotely.
Our values are important, and together we work to realize our core values: respect, responsibility, customer focus, courage, and optimism for the future.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to people's health and well-being through their commitment and professional care. Are you a person who is passionate about providing high-quality care and values good collaboration with colleagues? Then you might be the one we are looking for. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop in a dynamic and patient-focused environment where your efforts make a real difference.
The position is intended as an expansion of our existing working methods, where we have our own resources in the municipality that cover where there is a lack of occupational therapists both in the short and long term. This means that you will work within both LSS and elderly care, including ordinary housing, special housing, and short-term operations, across all municipal activities. We have a functioning working method for both occupational therapists and physiotherapists. The position suits you who are very self-driven, initiative-taking, and flexible.
We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist who wants to work in a team together with physiotherapists, nurses, physiotherapy assistants, care staff, and unit managers. The team works to achieve effective care and support based on customer- and process-oriented operations. The job responsibilities include ADL assessments, assistive device prescriptions/trials, rehabilitation, guidance, and training of staff. A large part of your work will involve planning and organizing your work, where you will work both independently and in close collaboration with the team.
Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. The start of employment is flexible based on your and our planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist and has good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. The role includes documentation, so you need to be able to write clearly, concisely, and well-structured, as well as adapt your texts to the intended target group. Digital handling occurs daily in documentation and communication, so good computer skills are required.
As a person, you are empathetic, listen, and show respect. You are unpretentious and recognize and reward the contributions of others. You have the ability to perform in a pressured environment and handle difficult situations. It is beneficial if you remain optimistic in the face of challenges and have the ability to accept and learn from criticism. You have the ability to adapt to changing conditions and can easily adjust your behavior in relation to the needs of others. Since the work is independent, you need to have the ability to plan and organize your work.
Travel in service occurs daily; therefore, you are required to hold a valid B driver's license.
You as the final candidate must be able to present a criminal record from the police. This should not be attached to your application.
Tierp Municipality is part of the Finnish administrative area. If you also speak Finnish in addition to our other competency requirements, it can be an asset.
OTHER
At Tierp Municipality, we focus on the well-being of our employees and therefore offer a wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK, the opportunity to salary exchange for extra vacation days, a benefit bike, and other attractive benefits. We also strive to create a workplace with rich development opportunities.
Diversity is important to us, and we see our employees' different backgrounds, experiences, skills, and personalities as a valuable resource that enriches our municipality.
If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to present a valid work permit or confirm that you are exempt from the requirement. Employment can only occur after we have verified this, in accordance with the Aliens Ordinance.
We ask you to submit your application digitally via Visma Recruit. Please do not send applications via email or in paper format. If you have a protected identity, please contact the recruiting manager directly and do not submit your application digitally.
