JOB DESCRIPTION

As a cook, you will primarily prepare meals for the clients at Uddevalla Remand Prison, but also to some extent for the staff. The tasks include all activities typical of a large kitchen such as planning, preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as receiving goods. Cleaning the kitchen facilities, washing dishes, and conducting self-inspections in accordance with applicable legislation are also part of the daily work. Preparation of diet food and other special diets is included. The work is done in collaboration with staff in other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has self-awareness. You remain calm and controlled in stressful situations and collaborate well with others. You have good judgment and take responsibility for your tasks.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Restaurant or large-scale kitchen education at the high school level, or other training combined with experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working in a large kitchen/restaurant
• Experience working with self-inspections
• Experience working with special diets
• Computer skills
