It is an advantage if you have specialist training in emergency care or are a district nurse. Additional merits include language skills beyond Swedish, good computer skills, and experience working in Cosmic. Experience in emergency care, primary care, working as a midwife, and several years of professional experience as a general nurse are also considered valuable merits.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You are a secure and stable person who remains calm even when the work situation changes rapidly. In your interactions with both colleagues and patients, you have good collaboration skills and contribute to an open, professional, and supportive work climate. You are flexible and easily adapt to the needs of the organization, while also working independently, taking your own initiatives, and driving your tasks forward in a structured manner.

As a nurse and midwife at Arjeplog Health Center, you will have a varied and exciting job. It is developing, educational, and diverse. Here you will work with advice both by phone, chat, and in-person visits. You will have your own booked patients, receive and assess patients with acute medical conditions that can range from mild to life-threatening. You will meet expectant parents at maternal health care and have parent groups. You will be responsible for contraceptive advice and prescriptions, cervical screenings, etc. The role of the health center's rehab coordinator may also be relevant. You will work independently or together with doctors or other colleagues.
We have a close collaboration primarily with health centers in southern Norrbotten where we assist each other as needed during vacations or sick leave.
You also play an important role in the health center's collaboration with other healthcare providers such as the municipality and inpatient care.
Primary care is characterized by meetings with different individuals throughout life. Together we follow them through various health problems over time, and in assessing health issues, the person's entire life situation must be considered.
Arjeplog Health Center is a rural health center with a large geographical catchment area. Both towards neighboring municipalities in Norrbotten and Västerbotten, as well as towards Norway. Today, we have under 2500 registered individuals, in addition to many tourists and during the winter season, many car testers from all over the world in Arjeplog. The health center is located over 20 miles from the nearest hospital.
About 20 employees from various professional categories work at the health center. The ambulance staff is also integrated into the health center.
We actively work to develop our way of working to meet future challenges in primary care.
The combination of being a rural health center and having emergency services places demands on the staff's competence. Working here will therefore give you the opportunity to take on more responsibility and further broaden your skills.
There is an opportunity for professional development based on any areas of responsibility or personal needs.
