Social Administration's Mission

JOB DUTIES

The work as a nursing assistant/caretaker at Gläntans minority language residence involves assisting the user according to their individual needs in personal care, meal situations, transfers, activities, etc. An important task is to support the healthy aspects of the users. This means providing them with support and encouraging them to continue doing what they can manage on their own. We place great emphasis on case management and work with the individual's best interests at the center. Our goal is for users to experience dignity and well-being as much as possible.

QUALIFICATIONS

We primarily seek those who have studied the health and care program at the upper secondary level. Experience in care work and knowledge of dementia diseases are advantageous. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is also advantageous if you are proficient in Sámi and/or Finnish, Meänkieli.

We value high empathetic ability and great commitment to the well-being of elderly people and their opportunity for a dignified life. Recognizing the various needs and possibilities of users is a given for you. It is important that you have a professional and respectful approach and the ability to create security and calm even in stressful situations. You have a positive attitude and contribute to a positive work environment to promote good collaboration. The work requires medical care work as delegated by a nurse. The job also includes documentation in the Combine system. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
