The Regional Forensic Psychiatry has a regional responsibility regarding involuntary care according to LRV, the law on forensic psychiatric care. Patients who are sentenced to forensic psychiatric care come to us, as well as in some cases particularly care-intensive patients under LPT and patients belonging to the correctional system. There are a total of 44 inpatient care places, distributed over 5 care departments and an admission department. In addition to inpatient care, about fifty patients are cared for within the framework of open involuntary care, which is administered by two outpatient teams. To ensure nursing staffing at the forensic psychiatric clinic in Öjebyn, a targeted investment is being made for this group. Currently, a salary supplement of 4000 SEK/month is provided based on full-time employment. The supplement is linked to service at the clinic.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse; it is an advantage if you have a few years of experience in the profession and within psychiatry.

We also consider it a merit if you have specialist training in psychiatry. We place great emphasis on personal qualities; as a person, you are independent, self-driven, and stable in your work. You are clear and decisive and have good collaboration skills.

This is what you will work with

At the clinic, we work in teams. The nurse, together with other staff, is responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of psychiatric care. In the specific psychiatric care, it is essential to assess the patients' care needs and determine what care measures should be taken in each individual case. A common goal for all psychiatric care is to support the patient to lead as independent and autonomous a life as possible. In forensic psychiatric care, protection for the public and victims must also be considered. The practical nursing work may consist of support conversations, social training, teaching, and support for patients and relatives.

Information about the position

We offer a permanent full-time position, with working hours scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. We are looking for two nurses. Start date according to agreement.
Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Due to the nature of the business and security requirements, applicants to our operations must be prepared to provide an extract from the criminal record.
