The Technical and Service Sector is now looking for an engaged and driven Operations Manager for streets and roads who wants to be part of developing the municipality's infrastructure. You will have a central role in the work with operation, maintenance, and projects related to streets, roads, and street lighting.

In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing operation of streets and roads, including contact with contractors, follow-up of agreements, and quality assurance of completed work. You will also work with project design, project implementation, and project follow-up, and are expected to have good knowledge of contract law. You will also be the municipality's contact person for questions from citizens — both regarding operations and project design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Operations Manager for streets/roads, you will be responsible for the ongoing operation of the municipality's streets and roads, which involves close contact with contractors and continuous follow-up of agreements, completed work, and quality levels. You will work with project design and participate in both project planning and implementation as well as follow-up of various measures and projects within the street and road area. The role also includes a clear responsibility for the municipality's street lighting, where you handle both operational issues and the design of new or modified facilities. The work requires knowledge of contract law and the ability to apply relevant regulations in daily work. Basic electrical knowledge is an advantage. An important part of the assignment is also to receive and handle customer calls and complaints from residents in a professional and service-oriented manner, as well as to collaborate internally with colleagues within the technical and service operations to ensure good quality and a well-functioning operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with a technical educational background in road and construction, civil engineering, or who has acquired equivalent competence through professional experience. You should have experience working with operations, project design, or project management in the street and road area, and you need to have basic knowledge of contract law, such as the application of AB and ABT agreements. A good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, is necessary, as well as good IT skills. Experience working in digital operational support or GIS systems is advantageous but not a requirement. As a person, you are structured, responsible, and service-oriented, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with contractors, colleagues, and residents. You thrive in a role where you work independently but are also part of a team, and you handle customer calls and issues with attentiveness and a solution-focused approach. A driving license B is required.
