About the Job

Verdis is responsible for the collection and transport of household and food waste in Tomelilla and Simrishamn, with Österlens Kommunala Renhållnings AB (ÖKRAB) as the client and partner. As an environmental worker, you play a key role within the company. You are Verdis' face to the public and become one of our everyday heroes who helps keep Österlen clean. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the waste management assignment is carried out according to the company's routines and our client's requirements. You report to the local management.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Collection and transport of waste using rear-loading collection vehicles
• Handling of vehicle computers and RFID equipment
• Reporting deviations
• Daily maintenance/check of vehicles and equipment, as well as cleaning them when necessary
• Submitting vehicles to the workshop when needed

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a C driver's license with the associated YKB
• Masters the Swedish language in both speech and writing

It is a merit if you have:

• Professional experience as a truck driver and knowledge of heavy vehicles
• Previous experience in any form of waste collection
• Good local knowledge

This position is suitable for you if you enjoy a mobile job in a fast-paced environment and have good physical fitness. We believe you are service-oriented, solution-focused, and cooperative. You are also responsible and take pride in performing your work in the best possible way.

Start: By agreement (as soon as possible)
Employment type and extent: Permanent employment (trial period applies), full-time
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00-15:00
