About the position
We are looking for two veterinarians for permanent full-time positions starting as soon as possible. Part-time can be discussed.
You will work within the Food Agency's inspection activities, ensuring that animals are handled correctly and that food meets the highest quality standards – both for the Danish market and for export.
Here you will be part of an experienced team where knowledge is shared, development is encouraged, and you will never stand alone in your role.
Your daily work
In this role, you will combine practical work with responsibility and analysis. You will, among other things:
Conduct pre-slaughter inspections focusing on animal welfare
Ensure that animal transports meet current requirements
Identify and manage infectious diseases
Work with documentation, reporting, and authority decisions
Perform inspections related to hygiene, food, and export
Participate in work along the slaughter chain as needed
You have an important regulatory role where you contribute to safety throughout the food supply chain.
Who are you
You are a licensed veterinarian in Sweden or have Danish authorization, or are willing to apply for Danish licensure.
You thrive in a role with responsibility and structure, are meticulous in your work, and have a genuine interest in animal welfare and food safety. You are communicative, solution-oriented, and work well in a team.

Workplace and working hours
The position is located in Blans at Danish Crown, one of Denmark's largest export slaughterhouses.
Work is done in shifts between day and evening, with working hours between approximately 05:00 and 24:00.
Salary and conditions
The starting salary for a recent graduate is approximately 38,000 DKK per month.
Pension contribution is 18.07 percent.
Additional pay is provided for inconvenient working hours.
