Occupational Therapist at Villa Tollare

Do you want to go home from work feeling like you have truly made a difference? Then you should apply to us at the care and nursing home Villa Tollare at the Stiftelsen Stora Sköndal!

Villa Tollare is one of our modern elderly care homes within the Stiftelsen Stora Sköndal, beautifully located by Lännerstasundet. We provide high-quality care and support with a focus on creating safety and continuity in a vibrant operation. Here, we work together in multiprofessional teams to create the best care and service. The team includes care staff, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and activity coaches. In the same building as Villa Tollare is Stora Sköndal's preschool – so laughter from children is always around the corner, and we focus on intergenerational exchange for our residents.

Your Role

In this role, you are part of the elderly care rehabilitation team and, together with a physiotherapist, you are responsible for meeting the residents' needs for rehabilitation and assistive devices. You identify the residents' rehabilitation needs and assess their ability to carry out personal care and activities. Interventions are planned together with the resident and in collaboration with nurses and care staff.

You also guide other staff in transferring and using assistive devices. You will be offered a varied job where you play an important role in providing residents with safety and a meaningful existence.

As this is a varied role where you are given the opportunity for freedom under responsibility, we expect you to be able to work independently with a structured approach and to have good initiative.

The work is scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday at 80% with the possibility of a higher employment rate.

We need to ensure that you, as an applicant, have the right to work in Sweden. If you proceed in the process, we will request documents that confirm your right to work in Sweden.

Qualifications

You are a licensed occupational therapist. We prefer that you have experience in elderly care or geriatrics. As a person, you are empathetic and flexible, seeing opportunities rather than difficulties. You can work independently with a structured approach and have good problem-solving skills.

You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

The position is a permanent employment at 80% with a 6-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.

A criminal record extract will be presented before a hiring decision.

We are a non-profit organization within support, care, nursing, education, and research. The fact that we do not distribute any profits allows us to invest all resources into performing our mission as well as possible. Since 1905, operations within the Stiftelsen Stora Sköndal have developed, changed, and improved. Some operations remain, others are completely new. But one thing does not change: We still work based on the conviction of the equal value of all people.

Every day we want to make life better for all the people we meet in our operations. Today we are about 750 employees, both monthly and hourly, working together towards our vision - a society with a natural place for everyone. Our culture is permeated by our values - equality, care, and change.
