Nature and tourism hosts for Naturum Ånge & tourist office during the summer of 2026.

Naturum Ånge & tourist office is located along E14 at Borgsjö rest area. Here you will find a swimming area, restaurant & camping Borgsjö Strand, a gas station with a shop and electric car chargers. Just outside the naturum runs the St. Olav's Trail, and many pilgrims visit us during the summer season. Naturum is also close to Borgsjö heritage center, a 1700s church, several nature reserves, and numerous attractions. Naturum Ånge is one of the 32 naturum in Sweden. Here at Naturum Ånge, visitors can learn more about animals, plants, nature reserves, and cultural history in the municipality. In addition to the exhibition, Naturum offers several activities, guided tours, and events both indoors and outdoors. We also provide tourist information and inform about excursion destinations, attractions, food and accommodation, events, and activities in the area. Next to the naturum, we have a small pilgrim center with information about the St. Olav's Trail.

As a nature and tourism host, you are the municipality's face to the public. You staff the naturum and tourist information. You welcome all visitors, inform, show, and tell about the exhibition and spark visitors' interest in nature, culture, and Ånge municipality. Together with other naturum staff on site, you ensure that the naturum's program activities are carried out. The program includes guided tours indoors and outdoors as well as activities for visitors of all ages. You will be involved in planning and implementing guided tours and activities for different target groups. The position also includes handling informational materials, updating social media, simple administration, sales in our shop, and cleaning and maintenance of the premises as needed. The work will be carried out in close collaboration with the naturum manager and other staff. Weekend work and solo work may occur in the position.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in nature, culture, and outdoor life who enjoys sharing knowledge with both children and adults. You want to inspire others to discover nature and appreciate meeting other people. We welcome applicants who are studying/have studied environmental science or nature tourism education or have equivalent knowledge acquired in the workplace. You have good knowledge of ecology, nature conservation, and Sweden's various animal and plant species. Good language skills in Swedish and English and good communication skills in speech and writing are required. Experience in nature guidance or educational activities is an advantage. Good local knowledge is also an advantage. It is also beneficial if you have knowledge and experience in communication work, such as producing visual and informational materials. As a nature and tourism host, you should be welcoming, knowledgeable, and inspiring. You have a good sense of hospitality and service. As a person, you are proactive, creative, flexible, and have good teamwork skills. It is important that you can work independently. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
