Care Assistant for Home Care Erikslund

The unit is located in the brick building next to Österängsparken in central Östersund. In the same building, there are also home care groups Marielund, Staden övre, Staden nedre, and night home care, which provides good opportunities for close collaboration between the units. You will be part of a wonderful team where we have strong collegial support and work together to offer our citizens safe care with good quality.

We are now looking for three full-time care assistants with the possibility of a lower working degree. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

Your New Job

As a care assistant in home care, you will work with personal care and service in citizens' homes. You will work to promote physical, mental, and social health for the citizens you assist. Your mission is to support the citizen and facilitate everyday life in daily living. You provide personal care based on individual needs and perform delegated health and medical care tasks such as specific care and rehabilitation. The assignment also includes being a fixed care contact, which means specifically being responsible for certain citizens and their care. At Erikslund's home care, you will collaborate with a wonderful team of care staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, district nurses, coordinators, and managers. An important part of your duties is to document in our operational systems.

Common Tasks

• Assist citizens with personal hygiene and basic care
• Support during transfers
• Delegated health care tasks such as administering medication, insulin, RIK, stoma, feeding tube
• Preparation of lighter meals
• Care of various internal outlets (e.g., urinary catheters)
• Basic wound dressing
• Dishes and light cleaning tasks
• Accompanying, guiding, and relieving family members
• Care documentation

Your Competence

Requirements

• Trained care assistant
• Driver's license B
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious

• Good computer skills
• Experience using the phone as a work tool
• Previous experience in home care
• Experience with delegated care tasks, such as medication, feeding tube, and stoma
