Description

We are now looking for an experienced C++ developer for a consulting assignment with our client in the automotive and ADAS development sector. The assignment is part of a team working on object identification and tracking for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), with a particular focus on so-called General Objects. The role is central to a technical transformation from classical geometric methods to more deep learning-based approaches.

About the assignment

The team works on detecting and tracking objects that do not belong to traditional categories such as vehicles, unprotected road users, or traffic signs. The work is in a technological transition where existing solutions based on Kalman filtering, for example, are being further developed and gradually complemented or replaced with deep learning-based methods.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and test concepts to improve data curation and annotation for the detection of general objects

• Maintain and further develop the existing codebase, including improvements to the object tracker

• Write and review production code in C++ according to safety-critical standards in a Linux environment

• Collaborate closely with other development teams working on deep learning models

• Contribute to continuous improvements in development processes, quality, and performance

You will be part of a larger development context with multiple teams and complex dependencies, where structure, code quality, and collaboration are crucial.

Requirements

Competency Level

Level 3 (approximately 4–8 years of relevant experience)

• Excellent knowledge of C++ with the ability to write performance-optimized, testable, and maintainable code

• Good knowledge of Python

• Experience in a Linux environment

• Experience working in larger monorepos with multiple teams and complex dependencies

• Experience with CI/CD environments and effective development workflows

• Experience in safety-critical development

Domain Knowledge

• Experience in Computer Vision or other sensor-based data processing

• Basic knowledge of Machine Learning

• Experience implementing Kalman filters

Personal Attributes

• Self-driven and proactive

• Strong motivation to continuously improve work methods and solutions

• Curious and eager to learn new things

• Good collaboration skills in cross-functional teams
