Job Responsibilities

As a night nurse, you have an important and independent role. You collaborate with base staff, other nurses, and various healthcare providers in the joint work around our patients. The work is varied and stimulating, with the entire Luleå municipality as your area of responsibility.

Our patients live in care, support, and nursing homes as well as in regular housing. You will use a car for work, and the job includes both planned and unplanned home visits. The assignment also includes delegation, medication management, as well as training and guidance for both staff and patients.

You meet people in different life situations and with varying needs, making the work both meaningful and diverse. The role includes assessing health and medical care needs, prioritizing interventions, and providing some telephone advice. You delegate, advise, and guide staff in the nursing work around the patients.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with various professionals within the organization and with other healthcare providers. Working hours are scheduled for nights according to a roster.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who wants to work nights and is a licensed nurse or will graduate soon (by summer 2026 at the latest). As a person, you are secure and stable, and you can maintain calm even when the pace increases. You are attentive to patients and relatives and have an easy time building trusting relationships, which is especially important during night shifts where you often work independently.

At the same time, you are collaborative and see the value of good interaction with colleagues, night staff, and other professional groups to create a safe and well-functioning night shift. We value an unpretentious approach where you contribute to a good work environment and a workplace climate where both patients and colleagues feel secure.

The work requires good medical competence as well as good computer skills and documentation ability. You need to be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.
