Timrå Municipality is looking for you who want to work as a summer substitute in beautiful Söråker and its surroundings. We are looking for substitutes for both Söråker's home care and the elderly home Strandbo, both located in central Söråker.

We primarily need you who want to work according to a fixed schedule during the holiday weeks, but to some extent also you who want to work as a “as needed substitute.” We see it as an advantage if you can start training already during the spring.

Care tasks may include:

• Hygiene and support during toilet visits
• Dressing
• Cleaning and laundry
• Meal management/feeding

Delegated tasks you may perform:

• Medication handover
• Insulin administration
• Tube feeding
• Wound care
• Catheter care

All new summer substitutes are offered mandatory introductory training and, depending on your experience, also a medication training.

Söråker Home Care

When you work in this home care group, you will visit clients who live by the sea in the summer idyll of Tynderö and Åstön, central Söråker, and up to Ljustorp. Most visits require driving in the municipality's cars, so a driver's license is a requirement. In the home care group, a specialist nursing assistant works as a support for the staff in care issues and also as support during training. There is also a planner in the group who schedules approved services and visits that the home care staff then perform.

In home care, you help people in their homes. The client's needs and approved services determine your tasks.

Some medical tasks require delegation, which you will receive from the nurse after passing an exam. To work in home care, delegation for medication handover is a requirement.

Strandbo Care and Nursing Home (Elderly Home)

Strandbo is one of the largest elderly homes in Timrå Municipality with 74 apartments spread over five departments. Strandbo is staffed around the clock, which means that you as staff may work day, evening, weekend, or night shifts.

Working at Strandbo is in many ways similar to working in home care. Here too, you work in the client's home, and it is the client's needs that dictate your tasks. Those living in a care and nursing home often have a greater need for care.

Here, you organize the work together with your colleagues to ensure that everyone receives the help they need and that all tasks are completed during the day.

Some medical tasks require delegation, which you will receive from the nurse at the unit after passing an exam. To work at Strandbo, we require that you can obtain delegation for medication handover.

To receive a bonus payment of 6000 kronor, all of these requirements must be met.

• You must work continuously for eight weeks during one of these periods, which period will be determined based on the needs of the operation. Week 23-30, week 24-31, week 25-32, or week 26-33.
• You may have a maximum of one instance of sick leave for no more than five days.
• It is also required that you work at least 75% during these eight weeks.

Travel Compensation

Travel allowance of 50 kronor is paid for each working day provided that you have worked 10 shifts or more during an eight-week period.

You will also receive a wellness allowance.

Qualifications and Recruitment Process

We are looking for someone who is responsible, attentive, has a good demeanor, and is easy to collaborate with. You also need to have a desire to make the day as good as possible for the clients the operation is intended for.

Education in healthcare and/or previous experience in care and nursing is an advantage.

Driver's license category B (for work in home care)

We place great importance on personal qualities.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement as the work requires verbal and written reporting in our journal system as well as communication with clients and colleagues in the team. Language tests may occur.
