We are looking for a licensed physician to join Akademiska Vårdcentralen Ekholmen.

Our Offer

Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, Vårdcentrum Finspång, Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and emergency centers during evenings and weekends, and General Medicine Training Center. We provide a broad primary care service offering care to everyone throughout life; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients at the end of life.

Job Description

We offer you a challenging and varied job. We believe you are drawn to primary care because you are interested in the breadth of the specialty area of general medicine and can envision a future in primary care, possibly a future ST.

The health center is located in an expanding area in the southeastern part of Linköping and currently has about 21,900 registered patients. We are also responsible for several nursing homes and multiple LSS housing in the area.

Work Group

We are about 75 employees at the health center who enjoy working together in an open work climate. The medical reception consists of 15 specialist physicians, ten ST physicians (two of whom are on track to become certified specialists in 2026), and several younger colleagues in training. We have extensive experience in supervision and received an award this year from AT doctors for the best specialist supervisor in primary care.

About You

You are a licensed physician and hold a medical license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare. You have Swedish language skills corresponding to documented level C1, as you should be able to communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues fluently. If you have not completed AT or have approved Basic Competence according to BT, there is an opportunity to complete BT during the first year of employment.

As a person, you have good collaboration skills and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work. The ability to be flexible is important. You have good judgment and communicate clearly. We want you to be unpretentious and enjoy working in a team. We place great importance on personal qualities.
