Your task

The job as a maintenance engineer is a varied role that offers great opportunities for development for those who enjoy a different day every day. With us, you will lead maintenance contracts on district heating, district cooling, and gas networks, both emergency and planned, with the help of contractors. After completed interventions, you will check, follow up, and document in our asset register, both technically and economically. Additionally, your responsibilities include:

• administering fault reports and work orders in the maintenance system.
• purchasing materials and services.
• investigating, developing solutions, and leading contracts for maintenance needs in district heating, gas, and cooling networks, emergency or planned, with the help of external contractors where you take responsibility as the builder and BAS P.
• preparing documentation for revenue and cost follow-ups.
• checking, following up, and documenting completed interventions, both technically and economically.
• delegated tasks within the Work Environment Act and, in some cases, the Electricity Act.
• participating in various working groups/assignments, internally and externally.
• suggesting improvements in district heating, gas, and cooling networks.

You play an important role in our development and change work, including participating in the development and updating of instructions and routines, risk assessments, new working methods, etc.

In the long run, you will be part of the on-call team, which means you will be available for interventions after regular working hours and on weekends according to an agreed schedule.

Your team

The position is located in the Network unit, one of the units in the Facility department within the Heat and Cooling business area. We in the Network unit are responsible for the operation and maintenance of Göteborg Energi Group's distribution networks for district heating, gas, and district cooling, as well as regulator stations. We also have a limited area with V/A networks. On behalf of Göteborg Energi Gas Network AB, inspections are also carried out on the gas network.

Your qualifications

We believe you have a university degree with a relevant technical focus, such as a marine engineering degree. However, you may also have acquired equivalent competence through other education and extensive work experience. You have good IT skills and are accustomed to working with various IT systems.

For the position, we prefer that you have several years of experience in contract operations within construction and/or facilities. If you have worked with maintenance work within distribution networks for district heating/gas/cooling, that is an extra plus.

It is advantageous if you possess knowledge and/or have worked with any of the following areas:

• contract law
• work environment coordination
• processes and/or management systems
• reading drawings
• design and calculation of pipelines.

You need to have a B driver's license as you will have the entire city as your work field and need to be able to get to locations quickly. All legal texts and standards, as well as our documentation, are in Swedish. Therefore, you need to be able to handle the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

Göteborg Energi is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure, and many of our services are security classified. If this position is security classified, a security clearance will be conducted before employment, in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
