Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different job roles. We are growing in line with the development of the municipality, with more residents, more housing, and a larger range of services. We are always on the lookout for new talent - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better municipality to visit, live, work, and reside in.

Are you a licensed nurse with experience in healthcare and social services? Do you enjoy the variety that each day brings? Then we have a job for you in one of our teams, helping to develop the Health and Medical Care function in Sweden's ninth largest municipality!

Your New Job

As a nurse, you will be responsible for both planned and acute health and medical care interventions in the individual's home, within both special housing and ordinary housing.

You will meet patients of various ages and work closely with both primary and secondary care to tailor the care intervention to the individual. With us, you will have the opportunity to follow the patient over a longer period and contribute to continuity in care. Our work is based on person-centered care, which includes giving the patient influence and the opportunity to take responsibility and experience security in their home.

As a nurse, you will independently make medical assessments and perform treatments and interventions. You will also work with guidance and education for other care staff, patients, and relatives to ensure high quality in care. With us, you also have the opportunity to participate in development and quality work.

Your Competence

  • You are a licensed nurse and if you have specialist training such as elderly care, palliative care, psychiatry, or district nurse training, we consider it an advantage.
  • We prefer that you have experience working in healthcare and social services, such as a nurse or nursing assistant.
  • You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills.
  • You have good physical mobility since the work takes place in home environments and you need to adapt your working methods based on the existing conditions.
  • A B driver's license is required as a car is used in the service.

As a person, we see that you are empathetic, structured, and attentive. In this role, it is important to provide information about care and treatment in a respectful, attentive, and clear manner. The patient's safety, security, and well-being are ensured through good judgment, knowledge, accuracy, and effective communication. We believe that you possess these qualities and we place great importance on personal suitability!

We Offer You

We work with a close trust-based leadership, which means you have the freedom to independently plan and structure your workday. When you start with us, we will agree on a suitable introduction program tailored to your experiences and prior knowledge. You will also have the opportunity to receive guidance from experienced colleagues from other teams.

As an employee of Jönköping Municipality, you will also have access to wellness grants, paid vacation in the first year of employment, and a generous flexible working hours agreement.
