Your new workplace
The Outdoor Museums unit is responsible for operations at the municipality's three prioritized cultural heritage sites: Norra berget, Svartviks industrial heritage, and Gudmundstjärn.
The unit has about 12 permanent employees, and during the summer months, temporary staff are brought in to strengthen the workforce.
As a manager, you are responsible for developing the unit's operations at Norra berget, Svartvik, and Gudmundstjärn in the areas of: maintenance and operation, animals, knowledge dissemination, and museum pedagogy, as well as rentals and events.

How you contribute in the role of unit manager
As a unit manager, you lead and distribute work within the unit and are responsible for personnel, budget, and work environment. You are also responsible for the dialogue with the prioritized cultural heritage partners, which includes other departments within the municipality as well as external actors such as private entrepreneurs and associations.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the daily work of the Outdoor Museums within the unit's operational areas at Norra berget, Gudmundstjärn, and Svartviks industrial heritage.
- Lead the operational planning for the Outdoor Museums and follow up on it.
- Lead the unit's systematic work environment efforts.
- Lead the unit's systematic fire safety work.
- Participate in the department's budget work, be responsible for and follow up on the unit's budget, and handle invoices and other financial tasks related to the unit's operations and employees.
- Personnel administration within the unit such as recruitment, staffing, scheduling, employee conversations, rehabilitation cases, and other administration.
- Conduct procurements and develop agreements.
- Participate in the department's Library, Culture, and Museums management group and other management and governance contexts relevant to the unit.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in one or more of the areas of cultural heritage, museums, tourism/visitor industry, social sciences, or equivalent work experience. You have experience with personnel responsibility, such as a manager or team leader. You also have experience working with outreach/public activities within the cultural heritage or museum sector, or tourism/visitor industry, or similar.
You also have:
- Good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form.
- Good computer skills and knowledge of the Office suite.
- Category B driver's license.
