Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes 21 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We distribute approximately 260 billion kronor each year. It is everyone’s tax money that we manage. It is a significant responsibility. Therefore, we think innovatively and use the latest technology to simplify and improve, develop and deliver IT services for the Swedish social insurance system. Welcome to one of Sweden's largest IT departments.

We are in constant change and development, and there is an opportunity to influence. The IT Production's mission is to deliver operations and maintenance of IT services to ensure that there is the right technical infrastructure and competence, as well as to offer operational services to other authorities in Sweden.

Leadership, IT support, IT workplace, and office

As a manager within the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, you work according to the agency's mission from the government. You are responsible for ensuring that your operations are legally secure and efficient, as well as characterized by good service. You lead the operations from a holistic perspective and with respect for decisions made. Through dialogue about the purpose, goals, and strategies of the operations, you create conditions for your employees to be able and willing to take significant responsibility for the team's results and their own development. In the role of unit manager, you have economic, personnel, and operational responsibility.

Your commitment to leadership is strong, and the state’s value base permeates your work. By balancing short-term demands for results with a long-term sustainable operation, you offer your employees a health-promoting work environment. You have a good ability to adapt your leadership based on what the situation and assignment require.

As a unit manager, you are part of the area's management group, which consists of 14 managers, and you contribute your expertise and commitment there. In IT workplace and office support, 20 employees work spread across 10 locations and divided into three teams. All teams collaborate within the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and with connected authorities, as well as cooperate with suppliers. The Office Support unit is responsible for the office's IT equipment and hardware. This includes the entire lifecycle of the IT workplace, from planning and implementation to decommissioning.

You are a good communicator at both individual and group levels and represent the Swedish Social Insurance Agency in external collaborations. Since you will have employees placed in different locations, leading remotely is a given for you. Regular travel is also included in this position.

As a unit manager, you handle confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high level of security awareness.

This is a job for you who want to take responsibility.
