Vasaloppet is the world's largest long-distance ski race. The first race was held in 1922 and the classic 90 km long route between Berga village in Sälen and Mora was for a long time the only ski race. For over 100 years, nearly 2 million participants have skied, run, or cycled in the Fäders Spår for future victories and passed the finish line in Mora. We are owned by IFK Mora Idrottsallians and Sälens IF, and together with our volunteers and other non-profit forces, we are a driving force for public health and community life. Your Responsibilities

In the role of Key Account Manager Sponsorship, you have overall responsibility for several of our sponsorship collaborations – from our smaller partnerships to main sponsors. You are responsible for the entire process, from establishing sponsorship agreements to setting goals and driving the work forward within that specific sponsorship collaboration. You are responsible for financial follow-up and the implementation of new sponsors into the organization. An important part of the role is also to project manage various activities that create value and business benefits for both sponsors and Vasaloppet.

You nurture and develop long-term relationships and ensure that the collaborations work well for all parties – our sponsors, our organization, and our events – and that we deliver according to agreements. Together with colleagues, you also contribute to driving and developing Vasaloppet as a sponsorship right. An important part of the assignment is to continuously strengthen and develop the collaboration between Vasaloppet and our sponsors through value-creating initiatives. Sustainability is a natural part of your work, where you contribute to further developing and implementing Vasaloppet's sustainability work related to sponsorship. You are part of the marketing and sponsorship team and report to the marketing manager.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we see that you have several years of documented experience in sales, B2B sales, or another relevant field, preferably within sports, tourism, or events. You are confident in both administratively and creatively leading various projects from planning to execution and evaluation. We are looking for someone who is unpretentious, goal-driven, collaborative, and relationship-oriented, and has a curious approach with an eye for detail. We believe you are service-oriented, communicatively strong, and have the ability to work with business relationships from both an operational and tactical and strategic perspective.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant post-secondary education
  • Several years of documented work experience in sales, B2B sales, or another relevant field
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Experience in budget work
  • Experience in project management
  • Knowledge of IT and digital tools
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Driving license B
  • If you have experience in negotiation, we see it as a strong merit.

The role involves significant personal responsibility and a varying workload throughout the year. The workplace is at Vasaloppet's house in Mora, and travel in the service may occur.
