The University Clinic Psychiatry Sydväst is driven by the vision of providing the best psychiatric care in Sweden. We are part of SLSO psychiatry and have extensive collaboration with Karolinska Institutet. The clinic is characterized by research, innovation, and continuous development. Psychiatry Sydväst is located in Flemingsberg at Karolinska University Hospital Huddinge.
The Psychosis Program has recently transitioned to the newly established clinic Psychosis Care Stockholm. However, we continue to collaborate regarding the PTP program for the time being.
Clinical PTP Positions (8 places)
- Psychosis Program (part of Psychosis Care Stockholm): 1 PTP.
- Personality Program: 1 PTP
- OCD Program: 1 PTP
- Assessment and Treatment Unit: 3 PTP
- Neuropsychiatric Program/Deaf Psychiatry Program: 1 PTP (shared between clinics)
- OCD Program & Internet Psychiatry: 1 PTP (shared between clinics)
Research-oriented PTP Positions (4 places)
- Rück's Research Group & Assessment and Treatment Unit: 1 PTP
- Kaldo's Research Group & Affective Reception: 1 PTP
- Kaldo's Research Group & Consultation Unit: 1 PTP

Job Responsibilities
Common to all PTP positions is that under supervision you will conduct psychiatric assessments, investigations, and provide psychological treatment. The psychotherapeutic treatment work primarily consists of CBT. In the Personality Program, the placement is in a team that works with structured clinical treatment (SKB)/GPM, where integrative work with CBT and PDT is conducted.
During your PTP, you are expected to participate in the clinic's PTP program.
Research-oriented PTP Positions
Applicants for these positions should have a genuine interest in research, as research work takes up about half of the working time.
Rück & Trauma Program: A combination of clinical work at the Assessment and Treatment Unit and research work within trauma-focused CBT for PTSD, led by responsible researcher Maria Bragesjö.
Kaldo & Affective Reception: Clinical tasks at the Affective Reception combined with research work in studies on sleep problems, including CBT for sleep problems within psychiatric inpatient care.
Kaldo & Consultation Unit: Clinical tasks at the Consultation Unit focusing on pregnant individuals with mental health issues and patients with functional neurological symptoms. Clinical and research-oriented tasks within a research study focusing on internet-based CBT for pregnant individuals with depression.
Kaldo's Research Group: Clinical tasks within the research group and/or in collaboration with other units. Research-oriented tasks in Kaldo's research group, for example, in projects related to AI and psychiatric assessment or sleep treatment in primary care. There may also be an opportunity to become a PhD student.
Who are you?
For all positions, we are looking for you who have completed a psychology degree and are interested in psychiatry. If you have a foreign psychology degree, please include the Socialstyrelsen's assessment that your education corresponds to the Swedish psychology degree.
Qualifications
Experience working in psychiatry with relevant patient groups is advantageous, as well as experience in diagnostics through neuropsychiatric investigations. For research-oriented positions, previous research experience is meritorious. Important personal qualities include attention to detail, responsibility, and the ability to collaborate.

The position will be filled provided it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
For patient-related work within the Stockholm County Council:
- background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during hiring.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before hiring.
- in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
