Your Role

As a production leader, you will be a key person who supports employees and drives continuous improvements to create a strong and competitive production. By working from a holistic perspective and with clear communication, you contribute to creating conditions for all employees to take full responsibility for their tasks. Your leadership is characterized by a focus on continuous improvements and ensuring that the business meets set goals within the specified time.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and apply the production system through active work with lean principles.
• Translate overarching goals into concrete goals for your own operations.
• Have personnel responsibility for your team and lead employees according to the company’s values.
• Actively support employees and the business by being present in production.
• Be responsible for manufacturing results within your area - including efficiency, quality, and delivery capability.

Your placement will be at BU Saab Aerospace System, which is part of the Aeronautics business unit. We develop, industrialize, and manufacture aircraft structures for the civil and military markets. The production organization comprises approximately 230 employees, and you will be responsible for a production section within Aerospace Systems (assembly, composites, or painting) where you lead a team of 20-25 employees.

In the role of production leader, you will be part of the management team and report directly to the workshop manager. In addition to the workshop manager, the management team consists of production leaders and technicians who together drive the business forward. The group is characterized by close collaboration where we support each other and challenge each other's ideas and goals. The most important contact area beyond the management team is the contact with production support in the form of technicians, planners, and quality engineers.

Your Profile

We are looking for an engaged and inspiring leader who enjoys working with a strong presence in the business. You have a strong focus on delivery and results, and are driven by continuously developing and improving the business by creating involvement and motivation among your team members. As the work can vary, you need to be solution-oriented and flexible, able to adapt quickly to current needs.

Your leadership is characterized by clarity, structure, and humility. Since the work involves a lot of collaboration and various contact points, it is important that you are a relationship-building team player who can support and challenge others. You have the ability to create and lead a team consisting of employees with different characteristics, skills, and backgrounds. At the same time, you are self-driven and comfortable taking your own initiatives and decisions.

We believe you have:

• Previous leadership experience, preferably within production/manufacturing
• Good ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, as well as basic knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
• Experience in Lean production is an advantage

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, there may be requirements for certain citizenship.
