The role of a meal assistant with us

As a meal assistant at Hålabäckskolan, you will work in a receiving kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing lunch and cooking side dishes for lunch. You will ensure that the meals are both tasty and inviting. Our ambition is to cook as much as possible from scratch. Approximately 80–85 percent of the school menu's dishes are prepared from scratch using our own recipes. We use the purest ingredients and products possible and only purchase ready-made products such as meatballs, hamburger patties, fish sticks, and blood pudding.

Your profile

You enjoy working both independently and in a team, have a positive attitude, and a good sense of service. You take responsibility for your tasks and are skilled at organizing and planning your own work and collaborating with colleagues. We hope you share our thoughts on good cohesion and joy at work as keys to a pleasant workplace. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• has a large-scale kitchen or restaurant education or has experience from similar work that the employer deems equivalent.
• has good computer skills as we work in various systems such as e-commerce and personnel reporting.

It is an advantage if you have:

• gained good hygiene knowledge and knowledge of special diets through experience or education.

Hålabäckskolan is located in the central part of Kungsbacka municipality. At Hålabäckskolan, there are students from grade 4 to grade 9. About 300 students attend here.
