The Service Administration contributes to a better everyday life for the municipality's residents and businesses with services in areas such as meals, contact center, vehicles, and office services. Meal Falkenberg has about 65 kitchens, of which 30 are production kitchens and the remaining are reception kitchens. We have around 160 employees and we prepare food for schools, preschools, and high schools as well as users within elderly care and home care. Our kitchens prepare a total of approximately 7000 lunch portions per day.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Then the position as a kitchen assistant at Eldstadens preschool kitchen is something for you.

Here, the lunch of the day is prepared for the preschool's students and staff, approximately 150 portions per day, of which about 50 portions are for Kristineslätts preschool located in the area.

As a kitchen assistant, you have many different tasks such as preparing breakfast and snacks, composing and preparing the daily salad buffet, baking bread, serving the preschool, washing dishes, serving during opening hours, managing self-control, and kitchen cleaning. Occasionally, dietary cooking may occur in the position.

You contribute to ensuring that the food is delivered on time and with the right quality, focus on a positive attitude, contribute to a good work environment, participate in the operation's functionality, promote effective collaboration between the kitchen and preschool, and contribute to the unit's development. Sustainability and reducing food waste are something we work on daily, which we consider very important, and we therefore see that you are inventive, rational, and flexible.

During holidays and other occasions, placement in the kitchen may change to kitchens in the local area.

QUALIFICATIONS

You preferably have restaurant education at the upper secondary level or similar and experience of work, preferably in a kitchen. Food and cooking are close to your heart, and you share our opinion that meals are an important part of everyday life.

Basic knowledge of special diets is a prerequisite. As a person, you are responsible, take your own initiative, have the ability to be flexible, and deliver good quality in a fast-paced environment. Providing good service and a positive attitude is a given for you and very important to us.

Your computer skills are good, which is required as you register your absence in Personec and access information on our website and in our home catalog. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish Food Agency's hygiene regulations and recommendations and be familiar with HACCP. Your ability to understand and use the Swedish language, both orally and in writing, is very good. The work requires good physical condition in terms of strength, endurance, and mobility, and we therefore believe that you maintain your health through some form of exercise and a healthy lifestyle.
