Team Leader for the Breast Clinic

About the Department

The Breast Clinic is part of the Breast Center at Uddevalla Hospital.

Here, patients with a suspected lump in the breast are investigated using mammography, ultrasound, puncture, and palpation by a surgeon. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the Pathology Clinic and the Mammography Unit, and the departments are co-located on two floors in the same building. Approximately 250 patients are operated on for cancer each year.

About the Position

As a team leader at the Breast Clinic, you will be responsible for daily management, which includes some responsibility for budget, work environment, patient safety, development, training, and staff. You will assist and act as a deputy in the absence of the unit manager. The position also includes working clinically as a contact nurse in the unit. Currently, about 4 doctors, 5 nurses, and one nursing assistant work at the clinic.

Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse or specialist nurse in surgery. We prefer that you have experience in breast cancer care or outpatient work. It is advantageous if you have completed training in leadership. Previous experience in schedule planning and good knowledge of scheduling is desirable.

We are looking for someone who has a good ability to balance the roles of employer representative, leader, and decision-maker. You can evaluate different options constructively, understand the long-term operation, and plan strategically to achieve set goals. As a leader, you excel at creating participation and engagement, while also being skilled in communication.
